Veterans like me who have always wanted to write

I am sharing some of the places that accept writers go to the like provided to get the rest. I am attempting to get out of my comfort zone and taking baby steps toward writing. Thought there may be other Veterans/soldiers who also need encouragement.

  • KANSAS! Magazine is published by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism. Their audience is largely residents of Kansas. They publish tourism related information. They accept queries. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.

  • The Health Journal is read by a wide demographic of people who are interested in health and wellbeing. They want strong, entertaining, and compelling articles that will hold the reader’s attention. They publish feature length articles as well as shorter pieces. Baseline pay is $0.15 per word.
